The CHS Seeds for Stewardship program supports local nonprofit organizations and programs that align with our three core focus areas:
With this program we hope to strengthen the hometown communities where our employees, owners and customers live and work. If you have a program that you would like to be considered for funding, please contact your CHS location for more details.
The Battle Lake Fire Department received funds to purchase additional tools for their grain bin rescue equipment. Following the receipt of these tools, CHS organized a training event held on September 8, 2025, at the grain elevator in Underwood, Minn. After the training, participants enjoyed a meal provided by CHS. “The goal of the training was to get the fire department familiar with the rescue equipment, as well as the layout of the Underwood elevator in case there is ever a need for a rescue at our site,” said Brock Bleichner, grain originator at CHS and member of the Battle Lake Fire Department. We are proud to support local fire departments and organizations through our CHS Seeds for Stewardship program.
