Community Funding Grant details

CHS is committed to giving back to the communities we live and work in through our Cooperative Giving program. More details about the ‘Community Funding’ grant are listed below.

Appropriate Funding Requests: The Community Funding grant application can fund requests of $100 to $1,000 for projects that contribute to our local communities. Some examples of projects or events that would fit well within this category include community gardens, park upgrades, town festival funding and other community projects. These funding opportunities are available for groups or organizations that are within or directly surrounding our trade territory (review our location map).

Application Deadlines: The Cooperative Giving program runs bi-monthly, with application deadlines occurring February 1, April 1, June 1, August 1, October 1, and December 1 throughout the year.

Application Process: The application for this grant requires basic information about the funding you wish to receive and the level of impact that would be made possible with the funding. A W-9 form is required in the application as well, as this form will be necessary for any applicants who are awarded funding to receive their funds. Cooperative Giving is a competitive grant program and funding is not guaranteed to all applicants.
Following the application review process, all applicants will receive notice on the status of their application and any follow up items that are required. Funding recipients will be asked to schedule a time to take a photograph for use in promotions.

Questions: Any questions about this program can be directed to Clarissa Blakeman, Program Administrator.
