Seeds for Stewardship

Working together for a greater impact

The CHS Seeds for Stewardship program is a dual program between our local CHS site and the CHS Foundation. We look to support local projects that improve ag safety or cultivate ag leaders for life with funding of up to $7,500.

With this program we hope to strengthen the hometown communities where our employees, owners and customers live and work.

CHS hosts grain bin rescue training in Underwood

The Battle Lake Fire Department received funds to purchase additional tools for their grain bin rescue equipment. Following the receipt of these tools, CHS organized a training event held on September 8, 2025, at the grain elevator in Underwood, Minn. After the training, participants enjoyed a meal provided by CHS. “The goal of the training was to get the fire department familiar with the rescue equipment, as well as the layout of the Underwood elevator in case there is ever a need for a rescue at our site,” said Brock Bleichner, grain originator at CHS and member of the Battle Lake Fire Department. We are proud to support local fire departments and organizations through our CHS Seeds for Stewardship program.
